Mark Gail has worked as a photojournalist for over 30 years for various newspapers around the country including The Fort Worth Star-Telegram, The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel,and The Washington Post.
I am now an independent photojournalist and photo editor in the Washington DC area after 15 years as a staff photographer at the Post. I am a regular contributor to The Washington Post, The McClatchy-Tribune Information Service, Getty Images and others newspapers.
The stories of everyday people and everyday events are as rewarding if not more important as covering high profile events and public figures.
I specialize in photojournalism, editorial, public relations, corporate portraits, corporate events, weddings and documentary photography.
 My career started out at the Baltimore Afro-American newspaper followed by stops in Paris, Texas; Shreveport, Louisiana; Jackson, Mississippi; Fort Worth, Texas; and Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Mark is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists since 1985 and is one of the founders of the organization’s Visual Task Force.
